Unit Description
This unit continues the study of CM acupuncture and provides practical training in the techniques of acupuncture point location. The general concepts to do with Acupuncture Point theory are looked at followed by detailed descriptions and locations of all the acupuncture points of the Stomach, Urinary Bladder, Gall Bladder, Ren and Du channels, as well as principal non-channel points. The functions and therapeutic indications of the major points and their combinations are examined in detail. The techniques of applying acupuncture are demonstrated and practised in order to ensure the safe, effective delivery of treatment.
