This unit is conducted concurrently with CM Clinical Practicum 2
(CMC P2) and includes information and skills important to clinic
operation and the role of student practitioners in the Student
Clinic. Case studies from the student clinic are reviewed each week
by way of student presentations incorporating relevant journal
articles from both CM and WSM medical literature. These forums
are conducted to enable issues of particular importance to
students to be addressed and to facilitate personal development
in the transition from student to practitioner as a means of
integrating theoretical knowledge with practical clinical experience.
Open discussion, peer support, peer review and exchange of ideas,
experiences and concerns and the modelling of quality assurance
procedures are encouraged.
