The study of the herbal materia medica is commenced. Individual herbs are discussed in detail with regard to body systems and actions. In this unit, herbs for the circulatory, respiratory, urinary and musculoskeletal systems are studied. Traditional clinical usage of herbs, actions, indications and contraindications and appropriate forms of administration are discussed.
