| This unit introduces the four methods of diagnosis as
conceptualised according to the Chinese Medicine paradigm.
Together these methods which include visual examination,
audio- olfactory, enquiry and palpation are seen as the basic
methods of learning about a patient?s condition. For each method,
the procedures, type of information sought and clinical significance
of this information is examined with particular attention given to
the diagnostic methods of tongue and pulse. The resultant data is
correlated in relation to the frameworks pertaining to specific
Chinese Medicine physiological and pathological theory. |
