Full-time Entry for Semester 1

Prospective students wishing to study full-time at the start of the academic year:

All VET-Level Courses: Apply through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) by listing the Southern School as their first preference of fee-paying courses. The cheapest and easiest way of submitting this application is via the website on www.vtac.edu.au. Prior to your application, please refer to the VTAC Information link on your current SSNT web page. This will give you further details, such as VTAC application deadlines and the appropriate VTAC course code.

Certificate IV in Massage Therapy or the Diploma of Remedial Massage: Call Southern School on 9415-3333 to make an appointment for an Enrolment Interview with the Massage Co-ordinator. This appointment also provides an opportunity to ask questions which are relevant to your particular situation. If accepted into the course, you will have the opportunity to finalise your enrolment directly after, so it is advisable to print out the enrolment forms and have payment organised in anticipation of this appointment.

Diploma of TCM Remedial Massage: Call Southern School on 9415-3333 to make an appointment for an Interview with the Head of Department – Chinese Medicine. This Interview also provides an opportunity to ask questions which are relevant to your particular situation. If accepted into the course, you will have the opportunity to attend an Enrolment Appointment with the Massage Co-ordinator, so it is advisable to print out the enrolment forms and have payment organised in anticipation of this appointment. You do not need to wait for your VTAC notification before booking for your Interview. By coming in earlier, you avoid the rush and gain additional insight into study at Southern School.

Part-time or Mid-Year Entry

Prospective students planning to commence in Semester 2, or those starting in either semester who do not wish to study the full load of subjects (i.e. Part-time) should

Apply directly to Southern School. There is no requirement for this group to apply through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC).

Call Southern School on 9415-3333 to make an appointment for a Enrolment Interview either with the Massage Co-ordinator or the Head of Department – Chinese Medicine, according to your chosen course (see 2 or 3 above). This Interview also provides an opportunity to ask questions which are relevant to your particular situation.

Enrolment Procedure

VTAC applicants will need to wait until they receive their VTAC Letter of Offer to contact the School to make an appointment to enrol. Both VTAC and Direct applicants should provide the following documentation on enrolment:

• Certified copy of Passport, Birth Certificate or Australian Citizenship
• Certified copies of prior results if applying for Credit Transfers
• Copy of driver’s licence (if available)
